This week has been a funny week. 

Liam (#2 son) has been sick and I am still shaking off the remnants of the flu. So I have been resting a lot.














My "Born to Knit" kit arrived today.  I am so excited to contribute to this charity www.borntoknit.com.au/
At $9.95 inc postage the kit is a bargain. Ordering it online has saved me a long trip to Spotlight where I would have spent more than $9.95 simply because I can't help myself.
The only drawback is - ha, ha I can't knit! Once upon a time, long ago I could knit... a bit.
 I could cast on, knit one and purl one but I can't cast off.   Instructions are enclosed so I will give it a go and /or call on my knitter friends to help me get started.


                                                   Once all the washing is done, I will get onto it.

To Market to Market

Saturday 14th July is now past with BiDM conquered!
 After a week of rain, right up to 6.30 Saturday morning the sun came out and stayed out all day.

It was a long but very productive day and I am pleased that I set a goal of going to my first market and I achieved it.

Co-oping with "Elle and Lou"

So many amazing artisans were there with their wares. I was fortunate enough to share a co-op stall with Elle and Lou, make new friends and meet new people. Plus BrisStyle made it so easy. I am so lucky to be part of a group of amazing people and I will definately do it again.   

For the next few week or so though I am taking a step back from market stuff and focusing on sewing in general.

Both piece Together and Sew Gorgeous have class' that I would like to go to. I'd like to increase my sewing skills and consolidate the ones I have. 

In.cube8r over at The Valley have some great craft class' happening too. Ha, ha, something else to add to my Mixed Bag!

Handmade Market

 14th July 2012 :: 9am - 2pm

 

 

This will be my first market . I am both excited and scared, oops wrong adjective- terrified- at the same time! I have been busy finishing off my goods, preparing my stall presentation and trying to remember all the bits and pieces that I will need to take with me.  

It will all come together in the end and either way it will be a great learning experience.
